Its possible..
But there is so many Positive things about having rear wheel drive.

Better weight balance,Better acceleration.,Better Road Holding,
Better Stopping,No Torque Steer,Better Ride and Feel, Better Ultimate Ability.

FWD is good for, traction, more interior and trunk space since there is no drive shaft going to the rear of the vehical, cost (its cheaper to build) , and there is a bigger demand for it.

At least 5 four-wheel drive Mustangs (1 ‘65 and 4 69 models) were built by the english specialist Ferguson and tested by several car magazines. Reports appeared in the german car magazines and elsewhere. There is only one record of what happened with the prototypes and possible other ordered converted cars. One of the 69ers was recently discovered and restored by an english company called KAR KRAFT Mustangs. The white Mustang appeared in the english CAR Magazine.

How much of a redneck do you have to be to do something like that to such a beautiful machine, I mean don't get me wrong, lift a truck to the sky and its awesome, but a classic mustang?? NO!!! BAD REDNECK!!

WTF!!!???!!! better weight balance? I have a 50/50 split weight ratio on my awd car. if anything, rwd are more front heavy. point-in-case the mustang. no weight over the rear axle causing spinning.

better acceleration? race me off the line. let's see who accelerates faster (not necessarily your v6, but a rwd car)

better road holding??? are you serious?:lol::lol: That's why the evo and the sti are still posting better lap times than the new C6 on England tv show Top Gear and they have less hp??!!

better stopping? how the hell does this have anything to do w/ the drivetrain of a car?? the front brakes do 75-80% of the work on any car. So how is it that the 20-25% load bearing brakes slowing down the rear axle helps? Even on a fwd car, you take your foot off the gas to brake and thus there is no input onto the axles to spin and to just decelerate.

no tq steer on a rwd car vs an awd car???? :uhh: so my tq is transfered to 4 whees and that steers me in which direction? straight? man, must be hard to press the gas and go straight. fwd has the worst tq steer followed by rwd cars. with a rwd and an open differential, you think all that tq to one wheel won't get you sideways? or even a t-lock.. you floor it and you still go sideways at the track.. is that not tq steer????!!!! I peel out and stay in one spot.

better ride and feel??? that is based on the shocks, struts, springs, suspension alignment, tires, wheel size, etc. not the drivetrain. wtf!

better ultimate ability? seeing as I have just proved you wrong in each of these scenarios, please tell me how rwd is superior to awd. how about driving in the snow or rain? i bet having no weight over the rear tires helps you grip the road better than all 4 tires gripping the road so if one or two or even 3 slip, you still have traction.
what about if you fishtail on an awd car vs a rwd car. heaven forbid the awd car doesnt have a second fishtail in the opposite direction to counter act the effect of the first fishtail where the front wheels will carry the rear fishtail out on an awd car.

Evan - what happened bud? Come on, you know better than to throw out that rwd is far superior to awd in so many instances w/o proof. Just cause you have a rwd car doesnt make it badass. I admit they are great for 1/4mi races but for almost anything else, awd is better. (more expensive and heavier, but better)
