I again fed the addiction and installed the ASP UDP from VMP today (is that enough acronyms for ya?) I have an automatic so I had some difficulty torquing it down while preventing the engine from turning. Did I miss something really obvious? I ended up propping something through the small holes in the harmonic balancer (I have a '99 so it's a funky pulley), so I could reach the torque specs. Nonetheless, it runs without wobbling and it feels solid.
Finally, to Brent, I noticed there's always a lot of questions regarding installation of various parts that most of us noob's like to do. Do you have any ideas how to organize a section for instructions only? I know the CAI instructions from V6 were outstanding. Maybe (and I'm only shooting from the hip) if there were a section for installation intructions with links to the particular areas for all the basics... e.g. CAI, catbacks, springs, pedals, headlight knobs (LOL -- they're a *****!), UDP's etc. Just knock out the chatter and organize all the little hints and helps that we all discover along the way. Whatcha think?
