Just wondering if anybody has any idea why my internet connection has weird problems.

My internet speed sometimes varies from 1.0 mbps to 54.0 mbps, and always says it has "Very Good" signal. When it's jumping around wildly as it does, my internet connection is basically non-existent. It doesn't always do this, just when I really need to be online, haha.

I have a Netgear wireless adaptor in the computer and a Linksys WRT54 router.

Also considering DD-WRT if anybody has any input on that.

I'm like 20 feet away, haha. I mean, it has to go through a wall or two, but seriously? It works fine for days at a time, and randomly hiccups. It may just be a router problem, I dunno.

It could be the router, but it could also be interfernce from other wireless routers around you. I ended up setting mine to b full time. The g was killing me.
