You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.deep-ice.com

forget chumpstangs. that vette is a nice car and very fast, and not to hard to drive. it wont be too bad on gas, expect around 15 mpg maybe alittle less depending on the condition and mileage on the motor. but if you commute very far i suggest a beater car on the side, alittle 4 banger thatll get you to places with 30mpg highway

AN LT1 vette whether an auto or manual is capable of getting better than 15mpg when you drive it nicely. Any car will get piss poor mpg when you beat the piss out of it. I'd just suggest you buying something cheap first. Learn from the mistakes you make in the cheap car, then if you still want one go get the vette.

corvette will get you girls and in trouble and so will the mustang. buy the vette, park it in the garage and go buy a Jetta for the gas milage. only drive the vette on dates and on the weekend when its sunny.

Keep he corvette but get some experience from something like a Ford Fiesta or an older car so it is similar to the corvette ( an 89 escort ).
Maybe you could get a mustang instead if you don't want a fiesta

Mustang!
That vette will cost you a **** load to have & good luck parking that at school or anywhere without problems. I parked my Z06 at Lowes for 10 minutes and it was door-dinged and scratched by someones cart!
