Is it possible to upgrade a 2011 GT Convertible's climate control system

My 2011 has the basic climate control system that doesn't allow for setting the specific temperature. So in the winter the heat goes till you're cooking, and the A/C never levels out in the summer.

Is it even possible to upgrade it to something modern that would allow me to specify the desired temperature?

I have had the automatic temperature control in my 2018 mustang and have never used it, I prefer setting the temperature by hand and controlling it by fan speed and temperature setting. Once the car warms up or cools down I don't find it a problem at all to set the fan speed as a level that keeps the car a constant temperature. It is my belief, and I may be wrong, that the automatic system doesn't do as good a job as I do at keeping the temperature at a constant level without cycling the fan up and down which I do not like.
How does that address my question?

It doesn't. Just thought you may rethink investing a lot of money for somethinng that you may not like once it is installed.
It is possible and it is not cheap, here is a link to a thread about changing to Navigation, it is also needed for the heat and air to be automatic.
BTW Mine works flawlessly in both of my 2013's RBK

I have the automated climate control on all the vehicles in the house, we love it. 'Set and forget.' Ok, the wife changes constantly ... but the son and I don't change it often. In the 'vert, I do set it to 90 when I drive it across the Bay Bridge at 0500 and the outside temperature is 45-50 degrees ... cause I leave the top down in that weather as well.
