Alright guys so here's my next surprise my stang has revealed. I know 88 didn't have MAF mine does so here is what the computer was out of (see pic) the car does slightly searches for idle but still feels ridiculously fast.. So i don't think its really affecting its performance .Is there something going on with this ECM that I might have to do to get it to smooth out or is that normal with the MAF swap.

As far as I know this year doesn't have MAF. I think it allows the air/fuel/spark to better adjust Don't quote me on that. But that's my understanding lol. If yours has it already I'm guessing you have a newer year ECM in yours also. Any idle issues?

Your tps may be out of adjustment or you may just need to set your idle. Where abouts is it idling.

You will need to get some driving time in to let the ECU/ECM "learn" its operating parameters. Usually 20-30 miles is sufficient.

All 88 Mustangs manufactured for use in California were MAF instead of speed density.
MAF is much more forgiving when modifying the engine.
Speed Density is really sensitive to camshaft changes.

@93 it's at 800ish it just searches 1200-800 randomly.. Thanks for the info Trojan my ECM as in the pic says 92 gt maf so it's def not Cali car Lol. But tires tomorrow so I'll put the miles on it to see if it clears up. It developed a pretty hefty valve tick on drivers side are the stock vslves adjustable? Or is there another surprise awaiting hopefully not bad...
