we all have Arch Wireless alpha pagers. Dispatch gets the call, types it into the CAD, then it sends everyone the alpha page on call type, addy, units and anyother info. we have a all 800mghz system, we dont use voice pagers.. thats what your thinkin of, u can go to www.pagenet.com(arch Wireless) and click send a message, click on the city that they are in (or mine is Indy and not fishers) then my pager number then type in a message and i can read it.also we get normal pages (frends, family) then also news, weather, sports, movie picks, and stocks. :p

I think it's funny watching us all head to fires. I'm the only person on the dept. with a car. Besides the guys that are deputies and carry their crown vics. But it's all these trucks flying down back roads and then my stang passing them all. I love my governor being high. I need to take it off though...just in case

There's nothing wrong with being 18 lol. That's what I am. I "officially" got on the fire dept this summer although I've been going to fires since I was old enough to walk since my dad is on it. The only problem is that I'm living across the state at the moment and don't get a chance to go to many fires anymore. I hope stuff burns good over thanksgiving...wait..i didn't just say that...

Ha well right now I'm in college to be a federal game warden basically lol. Haven't officially changed my major, but it keeps looking better and better. My dad is like assistant chief or something...I don't know, it's all volunteer though, alot of fun. Wouldn't give it up for everything. I'd love to get on rescue officially. I've done rescue calls before because people weren't responding but I can't get on the rescue team because my dad is on it. I guess they think he'll boss me around or something. Oh well, he'll get off eventually, he's starting to have problems doing it all lol. I feel bad for him...

Ha ha I know. Nah, I'm glad my dad's still on it. He really enjoys it, something to break the stress from work. I understand him completely. Oh well, I'll probably end up getting on here, once I get to know the people here a little better.

As soon as I get in good here, I'll move back for the summer to work on my car and have to start over again. Oh well, whatever it takes.

I tell you what I always love doing. Last year in high school we had this dress up day and I flat out forgot, so I went out to my car, put on my turn outs and walked around all day in those. Noone said a word about not dressing up. Went to Halloween dance, forgot to get costume, put on turnouts...that was this past halloween. Always comes in handy for a little bit of everything. If only I would have had my sticker on my car when that cop pulled me over...

Ha ha, I put one on my dad's tag and on the windshield right above his inspection sticker. Has worked out pretty good for him. I'll pick them up next time I'm in town lol.
