So from what i have read its best to launch the 5.0 @ 2 to 3500 rpmI have a stock 2013 automatic 3.15 stock tires so what is thest rpm to launch at?

Should i turn off trac or put it on sports mode? Or leave at what its at when you turn on the car

I went to the trac once and ran 8.5 & 8.6, but wasnt able to test the sport mode and traction options and my reaction was horrible

Your reaction time does not play a part in your ET. When your at the track to see what your car will run, don't be the least bit concerned with you RT. The clock doesn't start till you break the beams. I launch my manual on street tires at 3500. I'm not sure if you can footbrake a auto to 3500 without a aftermarket stall converter. I've heard the Circle D stall is a must for autos on the track or street.

I've had decent luck on stock tires (automatic) around 1500-2500. Until you invest in some DRs, your 60' time will suffer. About the same with TC completely off and in Sport Mode.

I have a 2013 auto. The stock converter will only hold to around 2200 rpm. It will also depend on your tires. I have nitto NT05 R drag radials. If I launch at between 1500 and 2000 I have consistent 1.9 60 ft. Times. That's on my Bama race tune. No other mods. The Circle D converter is getting great reviews. It's much beefier and you can select the stall you want. It's very pricy at around $1200 plus another $300 to $400 to install.

Well i can agree 100 percent at about 2200 im spinning tires, i just gave the advice a try and 2000 rpm is my best launch, i did not try without traction or on sportsmode yet though

I'd like to put a stall in mine one of these days. Then grab a set of drag wheels & tires. Maybe tires first since traction is limited at least with my stock 235s.

I've run 12.60 with the TC on, 6MT car...I've also run 12.60 with it off. :)

On a stock car you're best to just ease into it at just off idle, the tires won't stick for much more than that, even on a well-prepped track.

I dont know how ford got a 0-60 test in 4.3, i have tried like crazy but the best i got is 4.6 and after that i just spin too much and get a worst time. Maybe they lower the air pressure in the tires to get a better grip.

only works on drag radials. On street tires, because of the way they are constructed, you actually do not get better grip by loosing tire pressure. Running them at 100% recommended PSI is a must on street tires.

If you have good tires (ET Streets, NT05R etc) should be able to launch with no traction control (advance track off) as long as you get hem warm during your burnout. Tires will not only help your times, but make the car more fun and safer to launch hard.

I dont know you guys buy i LOVE sliding around and fighting with the car, but yea it is not so fun when you want a good number.

I've done it with my 3.73 Brembo pack car. It isn't easy on the road but it's possible. I have a full load of options to drag around too so a lighter car should make this easier. I didn't touch the air pressure from the factory fill.

You could lower it but no lower than the 32 pounds. Almost guarantee it won't help though.

Only the MT cars have a chance at this # stock. Being able to carefully blend throttle and clutch action is essential.

Yea i too have a track pack 13 and it must be the road condition.

Yep, road condition feeds the dreaded wheelhop when you start to get this right and that's a severe limiting factor. I put a Roush upper on and now the car is ALOT more consistent. Temps need to be pretty high for the Pirellis to want to work, though. They ain't RE50s or Eagle F1s but they still like a bit of heat rather than cold surfaces and air temps.
