Ok right now my car is dynoed at 310rwhp with BBK equal length headers , are the gains and PRICE for longtubes and shorty o/r xpipe worth it? $600 for parts plus install ?

What are your other options? Long tubes and o/r x pipe are the best exhaust systems IMO. I have this system. This system along with other engine upgrades your power will increase exponentially due to the increased flow in the exhaust. A better exhaust flow is a great complement to any intake upgrades...good luck with your decision lol

It depends of course on your particular combination, but sometimes they are worth around 20 HP. You will have to decide if the cost is worth it. Some want to eke out the most power they can so it will be worth it to them. Others won't want to spend that much for a possible 20 HP gain.

I can see 20hp over regular shorties. But atleast he has equal length. So I am not sure I would expect 20 but would definitely see a gain. I would also do it, but would be one of the last mods. :good:
Of the two header types, which one would increase torque the most?

The long tubes will increase low end torque.
They keep the exhaust gas pulses from becoming discombobulated to quickly. ;)

Will I have to retune the car once the headers and shorty mid x-pipe is installed ?
I agree, probably not, but if it makes a big difference you may want to.

Well like i said in my first post , car dynoed at 310rwhp, and if i upgrade with longtube headers , JLT cai, edelbrock rpm II upper only, what numbers do you guys think it'll lay down... Rough estimate ?

its hard to say since you already have so many mods. but there should be some kind of increase for sure. i say 326 what do i win if i guess it.

It is hard to say... but I was thinkin closer to 340-345?

I'd guess the 320 range too, unless it is severely restricted. :good:
