I just got a fat back pay check and am looking at BBK or Borla LT headers and shorty x pipe for my 2012 V6. All input welcome as well as other brands and why in your opinion. Thanks guys/girls. Appreciate any advice.

I know it's a little over played, but I'm new to the site and I can't find much beyond Borla = Loud. Looking for genuine opinion.

My advice would be to have lots of WD40 and get ratcheting wrenches for the headers bolts trust me!

I'm looking at getting o/r shorty x pipe, then buying the bolt on cats for registering/inspection. Or would it be better to just get the catted x pipe?

Are you looking for an O/R xpipe or catted? Do you have axel backs on yet or still stockers?
I have Pypes pipe bombs axle backs.

I've actually already seen your car on YouTube trying to do research on sounds. Your car is sick man. I love the raspiness of the BBKs but love how loud the Borlas are.

Are the stocks just that hard to get off? I do all my work at the local auto craft center. Just rent a bay and all the tools you could imagine are free to use.

How much were the resonators, by the way?
They aren't hard to get off just use some WD40 it's just the bottom bolts you have to use a wrench and if you don't have a ratcheting one ur gna be there allllll day bro. Besides that it should be a smooth install. Btw if ur drivers side header doesn't clear unbolt that black bar that's in the way. I had to do that in order for it to clear.

The resonators were free my friend took his off from his 5.0 to make his exhaust louder so I asked him if I could have them and man does it make the exhaust deeper.

Your pypes Axlebacks are going to be SUPER LOUD RASPY get resonators to take off the rasp or it's going to be annoying bro.

Appreciate the advice. Any idea where I could get resonators? Yeah, the Pypes axle back alone are already super raspy. I like that sound though. However, I have a feeling with the LT's and o/r x pipe, it's gonna be a little too much.

Hmmm if there is a mustang club in your area start talking to them and ask if anyone is wanting to remove them to make their exhaust louder. If not just go to a big muffler shop and ask if they have any laying around. The shop I went to had like 5 of them.

With LT's and X pipe it's gna be toooo much rasp bro!

I looked there and they only have off brand resonators. Like 40 bucks a piece but not sure the quality...

$40 is reasonable if it's a new, no-name resonator. Quality resonators run about $80 each. If it's a take-off, supply and demand. I don't think Germany has tons of V8 trucks and car with people whacking resonators off them to make them louder. Pretty sure it's an American thing.

Lethal Performance O/R H-Pipe or X-Pipe is without headers. Stock exhaust manifold. Here is a link to my 2011 3.7 with lethal O/R H-Pipe, pypes pype-bombs, steeda cai, and Bama 93 race tune.

I will say its not as raspy as it was when I first installed it. And I just changed to the hybrid tune from the race tune and its not as lopey as the race tune.

I should be adding an updated vid tomorrow.
