Has anyone had any issues with a Lund racing tune? So far they haven't been able to get my tune dialed in over the coarse of 5-6 revisions. I got 3.73 gears installed 8-9 days ago and requested another revision and to adjust the speedo again(off by 22 at 65mph). Guy contacted me and asked a few questions then said okay hold tight. So I waited. Sent two messages throughout the week asking for updates and still no response. Is this a good time to contact MPT or just stick if out?

Are your tires the same height as stock?

It's the gear ratio. When I switched from 2.73 to 3.55 I was off about 20 mph at 55. So they aren't setting gear ratio. But you should be able to set that yourself. I did that and when I adjusted my tune I had Bama enter for the gears on the new ones.

According to nitto they are .03" shorter. I hear they run slightly smaller than others. So maybe .1" off? At that point I was 65 and my speedo read 73. Now that I have new gears (3.73) it's reading 70=~106. Trans tries to be in 6th by 40mph

I know it's the gears. They finally got back to me by email. Still don't have an answer as to when. just told to hold tight. I guess that's just my problem for being aggravated. Is it too much to ask for a correct speedo and aggressive tune? I have 285s but I can still floor it off a stop and even with 93 race tune and 3.73 can't get a chirp. Normal?

Can you not adjust your tune yourself? When I load a tune with my tuner it asks me if I want to modify it. I select yes and select gears and it has an adjustment for them. Then I can also select tires and adjust for size too. Granted I'm using a diablosport intune but I'd assume other tuners allow that too.

I'm using nguage. I haven't see it so far. I pulled up the log in excel by accident one day. Is that how i get into a tune to adjust it. I'm clueless about tuning myself.

I looked it up and I didn't see anything. But I may have missed it. That leaves you are the mercy of Lund.

You could load the stock tune then try reloading your tune and see if it gives you any options to adjust it though.

No problems from my Lund tune. I can set my gear ratio myself when I load the tune :)

Is there a difference in the performance between Lund and mpt? I don't give either company enough advertisement to be worth the time to perfect my tune but generally is one tuner more aggressive than the other? Also can I have both Lund tunes and mpt tunes on the same tuner? Thanks everyone for the input

But what tuner are you using. I don't think that tuner allows modifications of tunes.

Oh I see. I'm using a SCT hand held tuner.

I was just throwing my 2cents in. If Lund is like most tuners, you should be able to enter your cars stats in and change your gear ratio and fix your speedo problem. I know nothing about Lund but that's the way most other tuners work.

He stated earlier he is using a ngauge
Tuner. It's a bit different. Googled one and it doesn't appear to allow any modification. Could be wrong but looks like it requires to be programmed into the tune.

Using a Lund nGauge here and no issues, speedo is correct.

Messaged them when I got my new tires and they corrected it accordingly. Running 275/40/18s with 3.73s.

Got some attention this morning and after a few tunes we have it about right. At 80 my gps says 77-78. Good enough. Now to piggyback this to the next related issue. I still have the old ds. Till next week or whenever this guy ships it. What is my new top speed? Not car capability but the driveshaft capabilities.

Around 80 MPH :(

Just joking :)

I wouldn't worry about it unless you do a lot of track time. I do have an aluminum driveshaft on my Mustang :)
