You'll need:

1. ... to trade in your manual Mustang for an auto.

From what I've heard, it's not worth the time or money to swap the transmission.
Why'd you buy the manual?? Thats whats keeping me from getting one
Is sell and get auto its not worth the hassle and time
Why not just upgrade to the magnum?

Tranny, mounts, cross member, nss, wiring harness, shifter, drive shaft, transmission computer, torque converter, maybe flex plate tranny cooler and lines im sure im forgetting something but thats the bulk of it. It is a lot of work/money. But its up to you. You asked for info not opinions i hate it when people just say trade it in

what's magnum?
Not intending to insult the OP, but it is a lot more needed than a list. If you have to ask what you need I'm gonna guess you'll have to ask how to do it. It will take alot more info than can be given over the net. Either go to a reputable shop and be prepared for them to tell you "Why don't you just trade it in? The depreciation loss will be less than the cost of a swap and you'll still have a warranty." or just take the hit and trade it in. Of course that is only the answer you will get if they're polite. Your 3rd choice (and the one I recomend) is to do all the preventive measures and live with a fussy transmission then if it fails bring it to Ford and let them fix it under wtty.

Mark, I do mean the part about not trying to insult but unless you have done a ton of stuff to your car to make it special a swap is unrealistic.

The Magnum is a transmission made by Tremec it may be more robust but the gear ratios do not work as well with the Coyote from what I've read.

info & opinions!

I agree that it's not ideal for the coyote but I would think you could make up for it with the correct rear gear.
A father and son who own a mustang shop in toronto have a coyote with 4.10s a magnum and na motor no bottle running mid to high 10s although it has had sone weight reduction
most regret it (resale value alone) and wish they would have just sold the car and picked up the trans type they want. Just FYI to be ready for what you are getting into :(

Built in China. Not much comes out of there worth what you pay for it.
Where you located ill swap u
^ this really what you need to do is fine some one who wants to swap locally
Most shops can swap the parts for about $1000. I'm still rocking the stock clutch, tranny, driveshaft and race in radials/now slick almost every weekend. Things still holding up just fine. I do recommend swapping out the trans fluid with redline mt-90.

My cars on the unit and making 5xx hp and 5xx trqs. Have 7000 miles and know its a waiting game before something goes.

But what if you put a lot of money into the car?

Best advice ever, your a legend. I just automatic swapped my 2010 and everyone said it wasn't possible but it was. Instrument cluster is paired with PCM only on 2010 I believe tho I can't say for the rest ATM. I had a wrecked donor car with everything I needed
