Sorry to report, but the the next autocross event planned for feb 24th in Marina, California has been cancelled. I'll let everyone know when the next event will happen. There was a lawsuit filed by a BMW club member who was injured at an event, so there is going to be an extra waver for everyone to sign as we get to the front gate. There hopefully will be an event next month, but I'll keep everyone informed for upcoming events.

Such a shame that people have to sue for everything. :bad: It really does ruin it for everyone. I can't imagine anything happened that was worthy of a lawsuit.
Some idiot was working the course and texting someone when a car lost control and hit him. No one takes responsibility for their own actions any more:( sucks that he got hurt, but it was entirely his fault.

Dang hopefully they settle soon and we can hit the track
The result of the law suit was just another form we need to sign, and they will be stopping everyone at the outer gate collecting signatures before you can even enter. But the big hold up is with the permit for the location, NorCalUFO posted a good explanation on their Facebook page. But it's still vague upon when we might get to autox again. They make it sound like the city of Marina is dragging their feet to approve the permit for the location. I'm bummed, I really want to get out there too!

I remember Peggy talking about the guy that got hit while texting. So I'm guessing its that guy that's doing the lawsuit. Hopefully it gets worked out soon. I wanna try my cobra on the track.
Exactly. That was the same guy. It feels like its been forever since I got out there, and I know my recently added traction should help a lot. You must be going even more crazy with an entirely new car to autox! Do you think your cobra will be quicker than your GT? I only ask because your GT was set up pretty well.

Yea same here, I'm just curious to see how I do know with a manual car like what gear do I keep it in and do I just **** 1-2 and backdown to 1. I'm not sure it will it has irs and more power but the gt had way more handling and better tires. Juan no longer has the fusion he has a gsr now.
I just hope we can get out there soon. I'm sure the Cobra will be close to if not faster than your GT. The GSR should be quicker than the fusion, so this will be exciting! What's up with your friend with the G37? You should try to get that beast out with us to the autox.

Yea me too and I hope it does. Yea were going to install coilovers on his gsr maybe this weekend. He's having some problems and going to get it checked out but we have time to get it going. I'm trying to get some friends to go.
The Acura should be quick around the course once it has coilovers.

Kool. Yea you've brought some friends but they tend to not participate in the event. Hopefully I have some better tires by that time because mines are starting to disappear
Very true. I think Ron(strayBullitt) is the only one that has taken to the track. Hopefully John and Chris decide to run this time.

A little more than a week away till the next event! Sunday, June 9th. Anyone near Monterey California is more than welcome to meet up with us and test your cars handling at its limit. It's always a great time!
