The mass air upgrade, what is this "clalibration" of the unit?
It seems to use the stock electronics, and the metal sensor base, what is different than if I went to a junkyard and got a larger mass air and installed it?
On a stock motor you will gain nothing with a larger MAF. But the MAF has to be calibrated for the injector size on your car or have a Chip burned to reprogram the MAf.
theoretically any mas air will work on any car with taht type of air inlet design...it sends a signal to the ecu...the problem is the ecu has to know what to do with that signal. by calibrating the signal to the correct injector size it then knows how much fuel to put in the mix, you cant just slap on one and go.
