Hey guys. I was wondering what needs to be done to max out the 4.6, and how much horsepower can be expected. I'm not looking into forced induction or nitrous. I want to know what I can get out of the 4.6 to be as fast and reliable as possible.

Cool. I was hoping the 400 mark. The 4.6 has a reputation (especially among gto, trans am, etc. guys) that its slow, and I'd love to beat the snot out of them with it. Almost like a sleeper.

Wow, all I asked is a simple question and created a war! Lol I think I'll end up just waiting and save for a 2011 5.0 for when I get out of college next year!

I was also thinking what if I got my engine bored out? Haven't people bored the 4.6 to a 5.0? Is that possible? And is it safe? Also how much would that cost... Ballpark?

Yeah that's what I was thinking of, stroking it to a 5 or so. Do you know how much that'd run me?
