Compared to an LS motor, 4.6 is nothing NAweak compared to.....? lol
Not many cars will push 450WHP on a stock engine coming from 260WHP. AN almost 200WHP jump over stock is plenty strong. Additionally there is NOTHING any other car has done that the 4.6 hasn't. It is an old engine.
As for "well over 400 HP", to the crank, sure. With heads, cams and all the accompanying mods, you would be lucky to see 390WHP.
Termis are a joke now, the new 5.0 is putting down better times stock then with bolt ons the termi can't keep up unless you upgrade the blowerHeck yeah!
I love the look of the 2001 SS CAMARO, t tops.... What put me off from buying a mustang was how ugly the new edges where and the fact you'll never see 12s with bolt on. So I choose a cobalt over a new edge. I would of got a Camaro but they were a little to pricy for used and the cheaper ones were beat upOnce again. I'm not bashing on LS motors. Looks mean a lot. Camaros ugly. Goats ugly. Vettes pretty sexy. GTO's are fat as hell and looks like hell too. Now they are fast. My friend has one, I respect it. I don't like it whatsoever. I watched your video of your goat it sound badass.
Why cobra, same 4.6 with just a crappy IRS and weak uni bodyI'm not a Ford tech or an ASE certified tech or even a sweep the floors of a performance shop tech...just a car fan, avid reader/researcher and a car lover in general.
IMHO- "maxing out" a 4.6 isn't going to be worth the money. I'd sell it, buy a 5.0 (or 03-04 cobra/ls1-2-3etc) and build from there.

It would cost 6,000 plus easy to achieve that thocorrect me if I'm wrong but didn't horsepower tv do a build a few years back with a stroked 3v 4.6 with some bolt on's like long tube headers, cai, ud pullys etc. They claimed they managed to put down 375ish to the ground? If he's talking all motor would this not be a viable, albeit expensive option?

ok found it, broke down into three episodes but they also had, heads and cams put into the build as well.
Get one from a Lincoln mark VIII they are the highly sought after teskid blockWould getting one of the DOHC 4.6 out of the say Harley Davidson f150 or the mercury marauder be any better than the one in the GTs?
