Have an opportunity to buy a 95 cobra. Has 14000 miles, showroom condition for around $9000. Was going to scoop it up, sell the engine and get a 306 with aluminum heads and eventually s/c it.

But I really want a convertible. Another person near me is selling a 2000 v6 vert. I'm looking at whether or not it would be worth it to do the same. Does anyone have any links to someone who's done a v6 to v8 conversion?

What else am I not looking at? Major suspension changes? Brake upgrades?

I'm going on the assumption that the 95 cobra would have at least made some nod to these things.

New to mustangs, just got out of a 72 BB vette so I need some help with blue oval knowledge.

you dont need to do suspension. GTs have basically the same suspension v6s do.

you would need:
engine with all accessories
k-member
exhaust
rear end
tranny eventually strengthened
computer
wire harness
PATS system fixed
and prolly a couple other things. it is very difficult to do a v6 - v8 swap. very costly too. just deal with the coupe and take the cobra.
