What is your most and least favorite era of the Mustang's?

My favorite era is the 1969-70 Mustang's, especially the Mach 1, the Boss models and the Shelby's.

My least favorite era is the crappy 1979-82 Mustang's, it's not a wonder why you don't see many of those Mustang's around anymore.

67-73 was cool, a LOT of motor evolutions! and FASTBACKS RULE!!
74-78, well....
79-94 were pretty cool, but those 5.0 heads BLOW!!
95-98 eh, 4.6 was cool, but not really big on styling
99-04 PI heads, new sheet metal, NOW we're getting somewhere
05-08 Fugetaboutet! 300hp base V-8, retro tin, what else could you ask for!?!

good- fastbacks, pretty much any 60s to early mid 70s

bad- 80s- those ones that look like geo metros

My favorite era is the the same as your's.
My least favorite was the Mustang II... the King Cobra crap. What a joke that was!

I like the early Mustang and the new Mustang. Everything else looks like *** aka the Foxbody

64 to 72 is my fav. sucked at 74 to 82

My 2 favorite era of the Mustang's are the 1964-68 models and the 1987-93 Mustang's, especially the 5.0 powered Mustang's.

My least favorite Mustang's would be the restyling of the old Mustang's or the Mustang II's.

My favorite would be the '65-'66 era. Those were milestone cars that still look good today. My least favorite would be '71-'73. (No offense intended if you own one of these). They were bloated and had gotten away from the original concept of a sporty yet affordible compact. A lot of people dump on the Mustang ll's, but let's be fair here. Goverment mandates and insurance regulations had effectively killed the muscle cars. The ll's were the the right car to go up against the sporty new Celica's and Z cars. Plus, they were attractively styled IMHO. They generally were lacking in performance but at least they looked like a Mustang. And consider - how many really good cars were there in the '70's?
