Hey I have a 1993 ford mustang interceptor that now has a t-5 I'm not sure if it has the stock 5.0 or not but the issue i have is this. While driveing my car studders like its running out of gas. If you floor it it cleans up and runs great like it had a miss (bad wire or plug) but it has new plugs and wires aong with a cap and possible a rotor I havent owned the car very long and it just started doing this after I put in the sterio. I was thinking the alternator was my problem but i tested it and the battery and both checked out fine i still plan on swapping to a bigger alternator. So far ive cleaned and cheched the idle air controle valve and i replaced the TPS and it hasnt changed teh situation ive also tryed running with the sterio unhooked no change eather. The next issue is the check engine light is on im sure because of the exhaust but was going to check out why anyhow and when the OD1 was pluged in the car wouldnt communicate and when we tryed it with it running it jumps to 2000rpms at idle and still wount communicate so anyone had any issues like this and if so how did you test and fix Im an auto tech student and have all the tools and diagnostics avalible just havent takein it up to check it out yet n thought i might save myself the trip. thanks

You gettin good spark from the coil?
Is the tps dialed in correctly.
Check spark plug gap.
Intake could have a leak an it's Suckin air out of a bad gasket.
Check an clean the injectors as needed. An maybe change the fuel filter out.

Doesn't sound like anything too major.

What is wrong with the exhaust?

I ask because if you have an exhaust leak upstream of the O2 sensors it can cause them to receive false readings and give false signals which will lead to over or under fueling.
