just wondering what car you think is overall better.....im looking at my first car and im looking at the range 1970 - 76. so basicly my question is if the car has been treated right what car do u think is the most reliable because im 17 and i really could not afford a car breaking down and needing new parts.. and the price range im looking at is 3000-5000

By today's reliability standards, you couldn't do much worse than trying to find either car from that vintage. But if that is your era, get one B/4 1974, when all the useless emission controls neutered any performance possibilities.

No matter what, you will have a car that breaks down and needs parts alot!

Mustangs are much classier, plus I think there is a stronger following for them. There are a lot of car shows around the country that feature Mustangs. Parts are fairly easy to find, and they are more customizable.

Mustang is cooler, but wouldn't recommend either as a first car unless you really rich.

A camero of those years and price range will be all rust or bondo.
