I'm just shooting out an idea for cheap rat rod that would be getting okay MPG's.
I would love to get 5.0 for my 1995 mustang in the future. I don't want to just throw out my 4.2 V6 or have it sit in a garage.
So i'm thinking if this ever did happen. I could get the 4barrel carb intake from tom morana's, a distributor and a Lumpy cam from SSM. Then run some sort of sick looking "open" exhaust on a rat rod.
I've tried looking up videos and so far i've only seen a couple of rat rods with inline six cylinders.

Could be done. At that rate you could rig up a lot of different things to make it fun.

I think if money wasn't an issue it would be damn fun. Think of how snappy our cars are on this body and subtract 1000 ish lbs and you'd have a nasty little v6 rat rod.

exactly, Rat Rods are suppose to be unique cars. So having the V6 in it would be pretty cool as well.
