I just bought a 1987 mustang hatchback with a HO 5.0 motor. I know the timing is lagging a little but it won't idle unless you keep giving it a little gas. When I put a fuel pump in it, it helped a little bit. I was told it was a computer issue. Would I be better off fixing that or converting it to a carburated motor. And money is not an issue as far as repairing it, but I'd like to keep the 5.0 in it.
Thanks
Jon

It would be best if you just had it fixed. Any time you start de-tuning a vehicle or making changes to a stock vehicle you will end up losing at resale.
