Is it pretty quick? How much better is that cone air filter over the shaker?
I would put my money on that being a performance lost. Big time!!! You need to get that filter into the fenderwell if you wanna make it worth while.

You don't have to put the filter in the fender, you just have to make a shield so that it doesn't pull hot air from the engine.

every 90 degree bend in the pipe is like adding 6 more feet. That's the concept behind the straight shot kits.

Make up a shield for it and it will be even better then the filter in the fender cai's :D

Not a fan of the Cobra front bumper. It just looks so much nicer with the Chin Spoiler.

That's an estimation, but it is pretty close. Basically a rule of thumb, though it changes as the diameter of pipe changes. Think about it kind of like this. All of the air particles have momentum as they go through a pipe. In order to go through a bend all of those particles lose the majority of their momentum and regain it in another direction. This takes a force acting on the particles that slows them down and changes the direction. This force is acting against the initial movement of those particles. I'd explain it better but don't feel like digging into my fluid dynamics book :p:

I agree, but it's still an awesome car.

If you can find a link, I'm sure that would work!! And I like everything but the rims IMO.

I just went and got a piece of software here. Using the following information

10' steel pipe
3.26 inch internal diameter
.0018" internal roughness
60L/min flow rate
.609 fluid velocity

gives pipe head loss of 0.013 ft

A standard bend 90 degree elbow gives the same head loss as the 10' of steel pipe of the same diameter. I got the software at the address below
