I think grey is a great idea.Hey all.
I am wanting to add some stripes to my new black 2013, but I am not sure what color I should do...
My initial thought was matte black on black, but I just did a test by placing a section from a matte black fender hash mark set, to see how it looked, and it just didn't look like what I wanted.
Made it look more like a smudge or fade in the paint.
I want something more subtle.
Thinking maybe a gray?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
+10! Google it!Gotta have it green would look sweet.
Kind of going for more subtleGotta have it green would look sweet.
How about instead of matte black, you use satinHey all.

What do you mean by doing "plasti dip black + 1/2 coats..."?I have an all black 2014, I'll attach an image and I'm thinking of doing plasti dip black + 1/2 coats of silver metallizer for some silver flaking in the hash marks / hood strips I'll be doing.
I'll let you know how it looks for sure, I like the idea of subtle 2 tone myself, and dark grey/silver seems to compliment the black the best without completely losing the stealth look. The colors/white look great, but I'm not that into "loud" cosmetics.
Wow. Thats a lot nicer looking then I would have expected.
Thinking that would be "loud"You should def go red!!! Red on black looks soooooo good
BTW: Does that picture you attached have anything on it? I am not noticing anything, but the picture doesn't come up very largeI have an all black 2014, I'll attach an image and I'm thinking of doing plasti dip black + 1/2 coats of silver metallizer for some silver flaking in the hash marks / hood strips I'll be doing.

The car's paint looks like it is matte black and not the standard "gloss"Oh no. Lol. I found that on google to try and support my case. But blue is my favorite.
Any idea what the cost is (approx range) for getting stripes (just top stripes)Boom. I wanted this. But it'll only look good painted. No vinyl.
It does look matte now that I look at it better but it's still the same general idea. Gloss or matte black still sexy on those cars :good:The car's paint looks like it is matte black and not the standard "gloss"
It's still kinda raised, just not as much as vinylShould I do vinyl or paint? Would like it to look classy and not look cheap or "raised" looking, so I am was thinking paint, however I know paint is a whole lot more #@$#@ permanent (say if I was to decide I dont like it???) and more expensive then vinyl, but can you get vinyl to look like it is more "painted on" then a raised look?
