Need Advice: Stripe(s) Color for Black 2013

Hey all.

I am wanting to add some stripes to my new black 2013, but I am not sure what color I should do...

My initial thought was matte black on black, but I just did a test by placing a section from a matte black fender hash mark set, to see how it looked, and it just didn't look like what I wanted.
Made it look more like a smudge or fade in the paint.

I want something more subtle.
Thinking maybe a gray?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I think grey is a great idea.
I love the way this looks:

How about instead of matte black, you use satin
It looks like matte black, but glossy!
Or you could do carbon fiber stripes!
I have an all black 2014, I'll attach an image and I'm thinking of doing plasti dip black + 1/2 coats of silver metallizer for some silver flaking in the hash marks / hood strips I'll be doing.

I'll let you know how it looks for sure, I like the idea of subtle 2 tone myself, and dark grey/silver seems to compliment the black the best without completely losing the stealth look. The colors/white look great, but I'm not that into "loud" cosmetics.

What do you mean by doing "plasti dip black + 1/2 coats..."?

I am currently thinking gray or POSSIBLY white.

BTW: Is there any difference between the 2013 and 2014 (besides the year of course) :)

Wow. Thats a lot nicer looking then I would have expected.
Any pictures of it in normal daylight?

Is that a specific type of blue, or just plain old blue?

BTW: Does that picture you attached have anything on it? I am not noticing anything, but the picture doesn't come up very large

Oh no. Lol. I found that on google to try and support my case. But blue is my favorite.
Boom. I wanted this. But it'll only look good painted. No vinyl.

The car's paint looks like it is matte black and not the standard "gloss"

Any idea what the cost is (approx range) for getting stripes (just top stripes)

It does look matte now that I look at it better but it's still the same general idea. Gloss or matte black still sexy on those cars :good:
+1 Carbon Fiber
Should I do vinyl or paint? Would like it to look classy and not look cheap or "raised" looking, so I am was thinking paint, however I know paint is a whole lot more #@$#@ permanent (say if I was to decide I dont like it???) and more expensive then vinyl, but can you get vinyl to look like it is more "painted on" then a raised look?
If really want unique. You could buy the reflective black tape like the Laguna seca has

It's still kinda raised, just not as much as vinyl
