Black car, white glossy stripes.
Need Advice: Stripe(s) Color for Black 2013
Hey all.
I am wanting to add some stripes to my new black 2013, but I am not sure what color I should do...
My initial thought was matte black on black, but I just did a test by placing a section from a matte black fender hash mark set, to see how it looked, and it just didn't look like what I wanted.
Made it look more like a smudge or fade in the paint.
I want something more subtle.
Thinking maybe a gray?
Any suggestions?

I think lava red stripes would probably look cool considering in most lighting it looks black anyways until under the sunlight when all the metallic comes out. Never seen it done but think it would look pretty cool

One of the things that I have done in the past is test it out with Plasti Dip. Its pretty inexpensive and comes in a spray paint can. If you wanna test the look on your car it sprays on. It you dont like it, then it just peels off. Comes in all sorts of colors

You'll see mostly everyone on here knows about plasti dip. Some think it looks cheap, others like the cheap cost and 0 consequence aspect. I like it before it lets me change things while I save for bigger uprades. Dipped my wheels, pype bomb axle tips, might do some hash marks or hood lines. Its great stuff imo and Fonzie has a lot of great vids out there.Speaking of Plasti Dip...

I did my front Chrome part of my grille and it looks great from 5 feet away, up close it does come off cheap. Imo I would much rather go with vinyl stripes than plasti dip. American muscle is very generous with the amount strip u get, I scrapped the hood strip and still had some left over when it was done.(gt 500)Speaking of Plasti Dip...
