Today I got a flat tire and went to change it and was unable to.
The previous owner of this car put universal bolt pattern rims on and I have no idea how. I tried to hammer on a 19mm deep socket with no luck, there just isn't any space. They don't look like they need a key, I think they are just normal acorn type lug nuts. any ideas?

Thin walled wheel sockets are required for that type of wheel. You can get them at parts stores and tire shops that sell those wheels. If you can’t get a normal socket on them, probably not going to get a box end wrench on either.

True! I have turned down sockets for various tight places. Fortunate to have metal-turning lathe. Even the chrome plating cuts right through using a carbide tool bit.
