Roll down the windows with the crank handles in the doors, if the air coming in isn't cool enough, push down harder on the loud pedal.You may need a long stretch of road to get the air coming in cool enough...but thats the fun part!

Are you sure it even has AC? Big box under the dash with vents ! Red is hot blue is cold , fan speeds are self explanatory, there was no ' climate control ' in those days . Pick a setting and pick a fan speed . Otherwise you have a simple Mustang with heater contols , same thing red = hot blue=cold and no AC

pull the three levers down and the fan switch to the right for full heat and defrost.. if it is equipted with ac, turn the unit on..

you can find this info in the owners manual and copies of it on ebay..

Select mode, like heat defrost, etc. Then select temp setting and turn on the fan. I do not remember a 65 having ac, but if it does, I don't know how it operates.

Not sure what your asking but mechanical levers/cables control just about everything. I can't remember if vacuum pods were used or not.

Exactly what equipment does your Mustang have?
Heater or none (heater delete was an option then, btw)
Air conditioning?

its all mechanical with cables opening and closing path to heater core, or to different locations like defrost heat vent
