Since the Boss 302 run of 2 years has ended. I wonder if Ford would be considering coming out with a Boss 351! They could use the new 5.8 motor from the GT500 but use it N/A.
Any thoughts??????

That would be awesome but dont think its gonna happen since they are gonna be doing a SVO style 4 banger in the future.

Late to this argument but it appears that Ford should actually call it a 5.7L. Using the simple standard formula of bore(3.66")/2 squared x pi (3.1417) x stroke (4.165") x no of cylinders (8), one comes up with 350.567cu in. That is sort of a 351. Divide that by 61cu in (1 Litre) and you come up with 5.74L, which would round down to 5.7L. I guess that 5.8 sounds better.

The current 5.0 (Coyote) actually works out to 302.204. Converted to metric makes it a 4.954 which would round up to 5.0L. So we're good there. The old Windsor actually worked out to 301.603, converted to metric makes it 4.944 or truly a 4.9L. If we called them by cubic centimeters instead of Litres it would be a lot more accurate. Now how was that for a useless waste of time? LOL
