Well folks, it's been 2 years now since we sold our 14 V6PP. We miss that car terribly. On to bigger and better things. When we decided to sell the little pony we picked up a 2017 Edge sport with the 2.7 Ecoboost V6 AWD. It was OK but we couldn't take it anymore. We are old but not that old (72 & 68). We just brought home a 2018 GT Premium 4 days ago. Of course it is Oxford White, so no need to change my avatar. Just be talkin' 2 more cylinders and 150 more HP with 4 more speeds on the tyranny. What a fun car. All the toys it offers to play with is going to be fun to learn. Bringing it home I could not believe the mileage I made at between 28.7-29.1 @ 70mph with cruise control. That was up 101 north from St. Helena tp 299 east 60 miles to home.
Good to be back and I will be exchanging comments and hopefully learning more good stuff about this little pony 2.
Later folks, Oxfordwhite

Home made Sound tube (Fake Noise) delete Saturday,
So for Free, just the stuff I have laying around, I got rid of the sound tube. Used 3/4 pvc pipe cap, some E-6000 to keep it in place and some duct tape, the tube is gone.
I will go to auto store later and get a body plug for the firewall to replace the tape.

I didn’t delete mine until I supercharged it. I just blocked off the tube and left it in place. Easily reversible if ever needed at the time.
I made sure I could put back if I needed to. Plan on keeping this car for a long while.

I always keep all of the original stock parts when doing upgrades, but the loft in my pool house is starting to get full, and my wife is stressing about it.
Tell her all that stuff is her fortune when yer gone.
Tried that, but she’s too smart for me.

How are you getting that great of gas mileage? Are you touching the gas pedal at all? Even in my '14 GT premium at best would be 18 - 19 MPG now with the Roush on a good day, not going over 2,500 RPM I can hit 20 MPG, on a fun day I get 13 MPG
Three years ago, I bought my 2008 Mustang GT/CS. It was a good two-hour drive and in open country. 95% of the drive was in cruise control. When I did the math, I had gotten 27 MPG. I thought I had committed an error so reconfigured and same answer. Talked with a friend, very knowledgeable high-performance car owner. He said that the mileage wasn't unusual at all. Of course, on cruise control so wasn't driving it hard.

I don't think I've used cruise control since but haven't checked gas mileage.

Yeah I know foxbody, it's hard to believe. We took a quick to Redding and we averaged almost 27mpg all on two lane mountain road. Awesome car, all that ponypower and mileage too. Best our 2.7 ecoboost Edge would get was 23mpg on straight road.
I must be too spirited of a driver and not realizing it lol

Found a nylon plug at Ace today for the sound tube hole in the firewall. 1 1/4" white to match the color of the paint. $0.79 and a dab of E6000 for water tight seal.

So, I see some 19" wheels from a Bullitt for sale on eBay. Tires are scuffed but wheels look OK. $999.00 not including shipping from The Parts Farm in Georgia. What cha all think. I like the looks of those wheels. And their Ford also.
I sometimes feel like they're not eye pleasing on a lot of mustangs, but that is just my opinion
I like 5 spoke mags. I stated earlier that I liked the CS-11s but I don't like the fact they are 20s. Too rough a ride. Our Edge had 21s. You could definitely feel them on rough road. Would like to stay with 18s or 19s.
My Roush has 20's on it, not sure if I'm just use to performance tires, had nothing but sports cars my whole life, but I don't think it's bad at all. Actually more comfortable on the road than my '89 GT was
$250.00 dollars shipping to Ca. Have to wait till sometime after Christmas. Still looking at other wheels also.
$250 seems high to me, but what do I know. Prices today are ridiculous
Size of items, fuel, truck freight, and that's to a business. Add another $100-$150 to residence because of lift gate service if needed.
That's the world we live in now.
Wait till the Ukraine gets the shipping bill for the Patriots and ammunition. Lift gate service required.
There's definitely some price gouging added as well I feel. I miss the time this country had no cell phones or social media and all the stores were closed on Sunday's except a mom and pop corner store
First oil change yesterday. That's a lot of oil!
