New to me Ride

Well folks, it's been 2 years now since we sold our 14 V6PP. We miss that car terribly. On to bigger and better things. When we decided to sell the little pony we picked up a 2017 Edge sport with the 2.7 Ecoboost V6 AWD. It was OK but we couldn't take it anymore. We are old but not that old (72 & 68). We just brought home a 2018 GT Premium 4 days ago. Of course it is Oxford White, so no need to change my avatar. Just be talkin' 2 more cylinders and 150 more HP with 4 more speeds on the tyranny. What a fun car. All the toys it offers to play with is going to be fun to learn. Bringing it home I could not believe the mileage I made at between 28.7-29.1 @ 70mph with cruise control. That was up 101 north from St. Helena tp 299 east 60 miles to home.
Good to be back and I will be exchanging comments and hopefully learning more good stuff about this little pony 2.

YA! My old 85 F250 with the old International 6.9 holds 10 quarts.
I thought the 8 that mine holds was a lot :oops: that must be a pricey oil change

Yes, glad I'm mechanically inclined. Wouldn't trust someone else doing the service on this car. Already found evidence of squids doing service on this car. Had to use a filter wrench to get the filter off, and all but twisted the can up to get it off. Other evidence of squid attack on the car that I have already addressed. I'll get her back into shape, not to worry.

I'm mechanically inclined but lack the time to do it. I will probably be doing the clutch master cylinder myself though. I'm not given Ford $650 to replace a part that I can buy from Ford for $68
Hey folks, still looking at wheels. Found some American Torq Thrust Anthracite 18" mags from Lethal. I've never delt with them. They OK ? Any opinions? I know there still 5 spoke. I can't get past that old classic look.
I like the classic look of those. I almost bought something from Lethal, I was going to buy the GT500 Supersnake hood for my old car but no longer have it, not my decision
Ordered some goodies for Littlepony. Hood struts, spring spacers.

Installed the Ford Performance hood struts yesterday. Very unimpressed. They work ok but I wish I had gone for the Redline ones. Those are what I used on the 14 pony and the quality was way better. We'll see how these work out.

I'm not sure who manufactures the ones for Roush but they seem decent

I was thinking about getting these. What exactly is inferior to the Redline’s?
The pieces that go into the fenders, I don't' know what you call those little nuts that go into the holes on the fender, are cheesy compared to the ones that Redline uses. The Ford ones wont stay in place when you open the hood. The right one especially wont stay in place. It keeps twisting out of place. I tried a few times to relocate and tightened the crap out of it but it still twists. I gave up because in it's twisted position it still operates fine. Also the lifting power between the Redline and the Ford product is night and day. When you open the hood with the Redline about half way up the Redline takes over and has the power to finish lifting the hood. Not so with the Ford . Like I said their just OK. We'll see how they last. Got the Ford ones on sale from CJ and now I wish I would have popped for the Redline. That old saying, " You get what you pay for ".

I have some Steeda spring spacers coming to get the stance of littlepony just right and my next thought has been still what wheels. One question is if I decide on purchasing the Bullitt wheels and I want to have them more even with the wheel wells, what wheel spacer to use? Next question what brand do people suggest? Anyone have issues with wheel spacers?
Are you trying raise the rear with spring spacers?

Yes, just a tiny bit. Steeda and UPR make spacers that go on top of the isolators to raise the car. I think most people use them with lowering springs. I know back in the old days some folks would use those old twist in or the rubber spacers that went in between the coils . Never worked out very well I think. These don't change the springs as they go on top of the spring saddle. Between the isolator and the chassis.
Tried to install the spacers. Pain in the A** with out a lift. Got one in and decided it wasn't right. Leaving it at stock height.
Now on to wheel spacers. Some things I read, People like them. Others I read say they aren't safe on the front wheels. Looking for input.

Not a fan personally. Read a few horror stories, and just not worth it for me.
