Butt hurt? Huh? Butt hurt about what? I always ask people who buy the performance pack if they auto track race. If they say no, I ask what made someone buy a track racing edition 5.0 if they don't track race.Sounding a little butt hurt, what's your issue with the performance pack

That's cool bro. No worries. I was just wondering.I bought mine for the simple fact it was all mods I would do eventually just have them from day one and full warranty to go with it. I apologize for taking your question the wrong way.

I could be wrong but its my understanding the performance pack is the new term that Ford calls it but was the trac pack in 14. The trac pac was upgraded suspension parts and brembo brakes. This model even gets 5W 50 oil because its designed for track use. Ford assumes people who buy a track made car will be tracking it. The performance pack (ex trac pac), was designed for track racing due to the upgraded suspension and brakes. It's called a performance pack, so it doesn't necessarily mean it's molded for the track only. It's just a better overall mustang. That's my take on it. You are rarely going to find people who buy a brand new mustang to take it to the track. Most just like knowing they could.
I have been building my car for this purpose but have yet to take it. I am almost ready, but had I got the "trackpac" as they call it on a 14 I would have been a bit closer to my overall goal from the beginning. Thankfully I got the brembo setup with mine.

Pretty simple, actually. I don't live anywhere near a track. I bought the performance package because I enjoy enthusiastic driving and appreciate the upgraded handling and braking abilities of the vehicle. It doesn't require a track to appreciate the extra capabilities of this package.I could be wrong but its my understanding the performance pack is the new term that Ford calls it but was the trac pack in 14. I guess my one question and I mean this with no disrespect. Why spend the money on buying a track made 5.0 but never gonna track it. Just go buy a non trac pac/performance pack. What exactly is the point to having all this upgraded suspension parts and a car designed for track use and never track race it.
That's like buying a Gt350 R and not track racing it. Why? Its designed to be used on a track. Just go by the Gt350 then!
Just a near stock 3.7
Fair enough sir. 👍It's just to say "I have one".

I don't know anyone who owns a Ferrari but if they did I would ask them if they track it if the cars design to be used as a track car.Why don't you ask every wig wearing rich guy why they buy a Ferrari and never track it? Why don't you ask everyone with mil spec rifles why they bought those guns and haven't shot anyone. Not everything is like a shovel. I have a lot of professional music equipment that would also seem unnecessary for someone who plays with friends on the week end and alone at home , but at the same time , so do a lot of other people. I haven't tracked mine yet and while I do intend to have fun with it, j just wanted the sportier drive , the feel, the look and the pedigree that comes with owning the real deal mustang. I know I could've bought a focus. Essentially , using your logic, if I only drive it to and from work why do I need a mustang ?

Copy that sir. Wheel hop was bad on my 3.7 so I put aftermarket LCA's. Well that's a shame that after people pay 36k for a performance Mustang 5.0 and the suspension is garbage. I can say, other than my LCA's my suspension is fine.Because the stock suspension is terrible. Doesn't matter if you are tracking the car or not, let the clutch out and give her some gas and it's wheel hop city. 435 hp car with 255's and crap rubber bushings don't mix. And who doesn't like to have ultimate stopping power? Yes the extra things associated with this like a diff cooler are more track oriented but I believe if you asked most actual track guys & gals they would laugh at a "track pac" or "performance pack" being out of the box track capable. This package is just a add on for ford to dip into the consumers wallet to obtain the car they really want. My point is it's not a track ready car. It's just how a GT should come. Ready to pound pavement at a moments notice and stop on a dime if need be. By the way you know I'm not saying these things in a disrespectful manner, just stating my opinion.
Get a catback. No cutting required and it just bolts on.I'm still researching what small mods to start with later this year. Definitely a different animal then previous years.
Heck, just with the axlebacks they are all cut and clamp. All of the borlas require cutting off the stock mufflers. No bolt on like before.![]()
Yea I have been noticing most people with these go Catback probably for this very reason. I was looking at S Types, but they sound off without the resonators and such? Has anyone heard these in person?Get a catback. No cutting required and it just bolts on.
