Hey guys and gals, I just got my '05 mustang v6 manual about a month ago and so far I'm enjoying it a lot. I've been lurking here since then, and just finally decided to make a profile.

Now I have a couple questions about my new (used) car:

1.I want to change the oil on it, and it looks like there is plenty of room to do it myself in the engine bay (compared to my old escort), but I'm always very paranoid about jacking up my car. Can anyone tell me where to jack it up from? (A picture would be great)

2. If I get a decent amount of cash back from taxes I'm planning on putting in a hurst (or maybe mgw, but I love the look of the hurst) short throw shifter. If I do this I will probably change out my transmission fluid. From what I understand the manual takes ATF? If so I was planning on putting in mobile 1 synthetic ATF, any opinions on that? Am I also to believe there is a revised fill amount instead of the amount posted in the owners manual?

Sorry about the wall of text! You guy have been very helpful to me in the past month, and I appreciate your future help in advance. Im looking forward to being more active in this community!

Yeah I've heard that. I heard mobile one is pretty good, and a lot cheaper? Haven't really looked at prices.

Also thanks for the info on lifting it up! That's the spot I lifted on my last car, but I used to think I could hear metal bending when I did so I was never sure.

I was going to canada and I kept putting off the oil change until the day before was gonna be $30 but since I used synthetic they charged $79.99. They used the same exact oil I had a gallon of in my backseat which cost me like $20 lol. Never being lazy about changing my oil myselcever again.
