can anyone tell me what i need to attach the main fuel line in an NX system to to go to the fuel solenoid? I know i have to get fuel from the fuel rail, some valve on it... but whats the thing look like? a picture would be excellent if someone could help me here. Im hoping to have the rest of this thing installed tommorow.

i dont have a pic, but you can see the thing just looking down on your engine. you can see the silver fuel rail. if you look on the front right corner (front passenger side), you will see something that sticks up and is capped right near that corner. if you undo the cap, the valve will be exposed. just put the fuel fitting in that, and then the fuel hose on the fitting.

alright sweet... do i have to worry about any pressure in the fuel rail?? i know there can be pressure built up in there, and opening a valve wont have fuel spraying all over me will it? Should i hit the fuel cut off switch and let my engine use up all the gas before doing this?

no, just turn the car off and let it sit for a bit. it sits about a half inch above the fuel rail, so the pressure would have to be great, and if the pump, injectors and everything isnt going, no fuel should be moving. but if you want, just uncap it slowly to let some of the air out if there is any in there.

oh, and if you have some Teflon tape, wrap the AN fitting with it to get a tight seal b/w the adaptor and the fuel rail. you dont want to be leaking (wasting) any fuel.

AN fitting is a high pressure fitting. One end is flared at a 37 degree angle and the other end that mates to it is a coned shaped fitting that mates to the flared end given it a good seal

yea, but you can always put the teflon tape on it for backup and to get in there night and snug. not needed, but definatly nice to have just in case
