Today while on the highway i ran my nitrous and a flame shot out the side of the hood at driversude hinge...the bottle was full 1000psi ,i punched at 3300 rmp,has anyone had or seen this.

Idk then maybe it finally wore out something and it finally gave out did u check under the hood did anything look off was there any black marks from the fire or anything

Well if u haven't had any problems and nothing is wrong no idle changes nothing at all has changed then idk but I know spray will eventually wear down ur engine and it will blow something or fry ur rings if not careful

did you over rev the engine ?
I've over reved engines before and it'll sometimes cause a Nitrous backfire
sometimes it can damage things , like carb's or throttle bodies ,sometimes it does no harm ..............

What do you mean by over rev? I floored it once i got to the minimum rpm.
I may be wrong, but I think "over reving" would be to hit the rev limiter with nitrous. Here is a quote from American Muscle website.

If you engage nitrous too high or low you can cause serious engine damage. Nitrous below 2500 RPM can cause detonation, or hitting your rev limiter with nitrous can result in dangeous intake system backfires.

Do you think this is what happened to you?
