Hasn't been too good a night for my car as about mid day I went to start her and nothing at first crank after about 5 mins finally fired up drove around for about 25-30 mins turn off grabbed some food went to fire her up again and nothing this was all around 2p.m. I had the car towed to a friends shop locally and tore in to the car a little bit to find that the fuel pump went bad. Ok kinda of an easy fix, I simply went bought a new one and once again went to work in the process of dropping The tank my filler neck broke since it had rusted all the way threw and the slightest tug had broken it so with all the dealerships closed and no parts stores came close to having it I thought why not use the one from my fathers 95 GT we have that we're now using for parts but they were not a correct fit long story short we were able to make it work temporarily but I need to get a whole new assembly ASAP all over a fuel pump lol not sure what the dealers gonna try to stick me for this.... The fuel pump was already 150$ from advance auto which kinda hurt even more to know that the GT parts car had a brand new walbarrow 255 pump in it but I couldn't use it.

(This is just my rant about a tough day for me and my car lol)

Yea like I said luckily I was already on the way to a friends shop was going to try to get my new tubular k member in but didn't have the right motor mounts anyway lol
But what I'm wondering is I have been having some hard start issues primarily when the car is bone cold wondering if this was my problem all along???? Or at least hope it was

Great article really actually answers some questions for me lol

On another note I contacted ford to day and of course they want some astronomical amount for a filler neck and I saw online some places averaging $140-210 which is a bit steep for me right now and on the way to work today I pulled in and the car was really fumey I was early for work so I got under the stang an you can tell that gas was spilling out I've been driving SUPER!!! Carefully because the rubber grumet around the filler neck of the side that goes in to the tank was cracked and all dry rotted out so I'm looking to replace the entire assembly because this is my daily driver and I don't like to even think about how gas is spilling out next to my exhaust but any one noe of a cheaper way to get this?

check with Advance Auto...i know i order a fair amount of filler necks for customers, and our prices are pretty decent. May even have a Spectrum option which would be a decent aftermarket for a good price

Will check with them in the morning...
I just bought my fuel pump from them it was a $115 idk if that's fair price but it was also the cheapest one they had.
Let me also ask you are the pumps them self different in the 94-95 GT than in our 99-04 V6
I ask because I have a brand new 255L pump walbarrow I think I would love to put in since u have to drop the tank again anyways?
I know its more than I need right now but as the mods come in it will eventually be useful lol

not sure about a 94-95 GT...i know in a 99-04 the v6's, GTs, and Mach 1's all use the same pump because i've sold pumps to all three models lol.
Ok no problem thanks for the info tho
Unfourtunetly Im finding out more bad things everyday about my stang I'm thinking I might have to get rid of her just too much to fix and not enough money
The bottom of my core support looks like it was nailed into a telephone pole so I don't think my car will pass MD inspection

haha good to hear. cheaper doesn't always mean better! good thing to keep in mind when replacing crucial parts on your stang!

Well I don't know what's going to happen at the moment just because of this core support issue I have a core support form a 95 GT but not sure how to go about using it I can weld but no were near a professional level so not sure I really don't want to sell my car I've got a baby girl on the way SOON! So if the stang goes there probably most likely wont be another one

Yea deffinetly as of right now we only have the stang but I will soon be in the market for an SUV for the wife and little one to ride around in I guess my only question now is what to do with the stang I mean there is a lot of time and work put in my car it looks like sh*t but its the best sounding V6 that hasn't had $15k dumped into it(at least around my area) and is pretty damn quick but just confused on what to do with my core support issue
