Thinking about adding S/C. Will I need a new hood? New hood + new paint job= major bucks. Also have about 100k on engine. Will I need a rebuild? Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money. BTW Froged internals taste like chicken. :D

No, you will not need a new hood. Rebuild - no, as long as your engine is in good condition. Forged - no and yes, no if you go with about 8-PSI, yes - if more for engine survival.

This is mine installed with a IC (not included in Vortech Kit)

Hey michael, what's your car run? Looks good. What's your guesstimate on $$$ involved?

have you looked into maybe getting a newer 3.8 out of a wrecked car? Might be cheaper in the long run. You get a newer engine with considerably less miles, the split port wich will mean more power, and then add a nice little SC on to it...
1000 for the new engine, wiring, computer and possibly transmission if you get a good deal [ www.stangparts.com higher prices, but good guide]
5000 for the SC after its all been tuned and what not, and i don't think you'll need a new hood unless you want one. Everything should fit under there. Just another option. 8) I personally wouldn't blow a 100k engine
