If I paint my brake caliper red how long do you think it will last til the paint chips, fades or anything? Does any have pictures of there brake calipers and how are they holding up????

Here was my red ones on my old sixxer, I put it on a lift, pull of tires, bushed all the calipers with a wire brush, then sprayed brake cleaner in them, wiped them down, sprayed on 3 coats of true caliper paint( engine block paint will work too ) something that can stand those temps and the didn't crack for the 1 1/2 after I painted then

Hi, i have done the caliper's on my car. It has been about 2 years, since originally did them. Red is not a color for me. Hate it. But to each it own.My caliper are a lighter shade of blue. Mostly it is your personal preference on the color you chose.

1 1/2 when I sold it last week and it should last a lot longer!

If you can afford it you should go with caliper covers, last a long time, easy installation and look sweet. You can get them in just about any color you want.

I painted mine with kit you get at autozone and went back and put high temp clear coat. This was 7 months ago and they still look good.
