I have a set of starfish wheels my stang came with and was wondering if anyone has successfully painted them and if they have how they did it

I painted my ponys with spray paint I just prepped them very well

Did you have to sand them also did you use any clear coat on them afterward

I did very little sanding and took a tach cloth then a torch to the surface and can to warm it up and used black tractor enamel spray paint

i had starfish wheels...i didn't prep them...just wiped them off..used tape to cover the tires...then sprayed them...didn't have any clear so yea....lasted for as long as i had them so about a year. i'm sure the paints still looking good. i used semi gloss engine enamel

yeah...i noticed that after i took the center coverings off and added chrome acorn lugs

Those look cool I am going to have to try that so I got two sets of wheels
