Hey guys. Got a 97 cobra. And just a little bit ago I was driving and I pulled up to a stop light and my powering steering went out. Couldn't hardly move the wheel. I immediately turned the car off and started it again. Then it was fine. Everything was back to normal. Drove another 30 miles and it was good. Checked all my fluids and stuff. They were all good. Any ideas why this happened?

There hasn't been any odd noises. And the fluid looks clean. It hasn't happened since that night.

I wonder if the pressure relief valve decided to open......?

it's interesting it happened at a light. I'm assuming from your description it wasn't after you just did a hard turn where the pump would be working then relaxing.

w/o insulting check belt but unless it does it again I can't think of anything else to suggest.
