Here is some pics of my foxbody that i saved from rusting to nothing.....car sat for 12 years because the last owner couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Could have been because he put the ugly wire wheels on it....anyway here is some before and where im at now. The car is a 88 gt 5 speed and the original color is bright regatta blue. Car ended up having a blown head gasket that was all that was wrong.

Those pics are how i purchased the car complete. Since then much work has went into the car to bring it back to life. Here is some still far from done but im on my way. Decided to rebuild the original 5.0 for now as it only had 85,000 miles. Purchased a motor with gt40 heads and intake gonna build that one from scratch off the stand while i drive the car.

Looks like a fun project
Nice how I would love to get a fox and do what you're doing!
This is what I like to see. Someone putting in the time and doing a project right. Nice build!!
I like the work under the hood.. Looks clean :good:
Its alot of work and time but in the end I will have a nice father/son project between me and my dad. 27 years old but still never too old to learn from the father haha. I have always wanted a foxbody mustang and when i got the chance to get one and to only pay 500 dollars for a car we had running somewhat anyway withing 6 days of it being in the garage. I couldnt pass up the deal.

My neighbor has a sweet fox that made feature in one of the mustang mags. He has the whole smooth and tuck thing looking sweet. The only thing you really see are the spark plug wires. It is the nicest eng bay I have ever seen. I could pull off the smooth part easy enough, but the tuck would be tough.

Ok so got the car put all back together and here is where im at. I was losing pulse at my injectors. I replaced the ignition control module and the car fired right back up. The car ran for a good 3-5 minutes. I shut it down multiple times and it fired right back up. We were setting the base timing for the car and it seemed like it was losing fuel. The car got back to the point where like before it will crank and crank but will not start. I replaced the entire distributor that way I would have a new control module as well as pip sensor. At that point I had pulse to the injectors but no run. Checked the fuel pressure and had none. Checked the tank and realized I was out of gas. Put 5 gallons of gas in the car i know stupid me it was low on gas. I have my fuel pressure back the fuel pump kicks on and primes but now I have lost my pulse for my injectors again. I am so aggravated with this fuel injection I'm ready to sell it all including my explorer stuff and switch to carb. The car will fire right up with starting fluid but just dies after that runs out. I replaced my fuel pump relay as well just to see and it didn't help anything. Just cranks and cranks with no start. I know everyone says dont switch to carb but at this point I'm done with ford fuel injection.

also forgot to put that the car is an 88 gt 5.0 still speed density and we just freshened up the top end of the motor but still stock for now. had plans on building me a motor on the engine stand while i drive this one but i cant even get this one to run right....i just dont understand why i would have pulse to the injectors one night and the next day i have nothing...also forgot to put that i checked the tps and it was set around .94 and i have around 38-40 psi of fuel pressure. The car has a new fuel filter as well as fuel pump. Any help would be appreciated i just want the car to run.
