Both are 3" in Diameter, so when attaching the Lethal O/R H-Pipe to the Super Systems' piping, wouldn't that not allow the H-Pipe to insert into the Super Systems piping? Or is the H-Pipe necked down to allow for that? I know they have clamps but two pieces just butting together would not be ideal in the way of leaks.

Anyone have the above combo or know from experience?

Thanks!
Sorry the pypes system was confusing. That combo will work. The picture threw me off. They designed the system to work with the stock 2.75" modular H Pipe. SO getting the Lethal O/R X pipe that is Modular to 2.75" will work fine.

My bad :D.

IM sorry, I'm getting the O/R H-Pipe. I'm not sure I understand the "modular to 2.75" part. The O/R H is 3"..

Sorry, Im not that well versed how the exhausts fit together in these..
It is and it isn't. Lethal isn't very clear on there o/r pipes if there pictures are correct.

If you look at the picture you can see the pipe is smaller at the ends that connect to the over the axle pipe, that makes it modular.

The headers have 3" exit holes that go into the H pipe at 3" then change to 2.75" at the end to connect to the over the axle pipes.

The pypes super system is made to by default connect to the 2.75" modular end of the stock h pipe. So by getting the lethal off road h pipe with that modular end you will be fine.

If you got an h pipe that had a 3" end to connect to the pypes system you would need an adapter kit they sell, per their install instructions.

EDIT: What he is probably speaking about is the drone. Non muffler based systems all with the O/R X or H seem to drone really badly around 2K RPM. I had it with the Roush axle backs and switched too Borla mufflers because of this. Just as loud, but zero drone.

I get it now! thanks for the explanation. I'll have to contact Lp before I order then to confirm that it is modular at one end. I'd really hate to have to swap out the Pype Bombs and have a frankenstined together exhaust of Pypes, borla, and Lethal lol...

I know the Two Piece stock Driveshaft can cause alot of the drone correct? I plan on getting a single piece so hopefully that will help. If not, well its a weekend warrior anyways as I have a take home car for driving to and from work
well just to warn you, you're going to have a smaller selection to choose from if you do the pypes system and want to keep their OTA pipes. They are modular too and the actual Axle Backs have 3" ends while most axle backs have 2.75" ends. There are ones for sale that have 3" ends, but just be forwarned that your choices go down drastically. If you decide to change.

If it really is a weekend warrior I wouldn't worry about the drone. Depending on your gearing you'll really only get the drone on the highway. For me it was unbearable because I drive 80 mins a day on the highway 3-4 days a week and that amount of time with the drone was killing me. Was getting headaches and really couldn't listen to music and have conversations with people in the car.

Before that I drove 15-20 mins of city driving to work and another 15-20 mins of city driving home and so I never even had the drone. The few times I got on the highway didn't bother me.

yeah it might make some road noise, the two piece drive shaft, but nothing like the drone at 2K RPMs. It is really hard to explain what it is like. It really isn't so much that it is loud, it just hits the right frequency that it just bothers you. Kinda like mosquito buzzing at that frequency is really annoying? Just imagine a tone that seems really loud and deafening. Going up a hill on the highway by my house in 6th gear at 2K RPM and I could barely hear myself yelling.

if my car had been a weekend only car, probably wouldn't have touched the exhaust or thought twice about it.

that is a decision you will need to make for yourself based on how you drive, who is in the car, etc. Every girl i had had in my car with that setup wouldn't go in the car again after the highway drone. They liked the loud exhaust, but the drone was a dealbreaker. lol. I imagine a wife or girlfriend wouldn't want in the car anymore :p

Yea I'm just going to keep the original plan of the O/R H, Pypes super system and not hack it up. I'm not too worried about the drone right at 2K. I've found at my crusing speed on our highways im at around 2200 and it goes away. Plus its nothing some sound dampening with Mass loaded Vinyl and close cell foam wont fix if i really get aggravated with it (which I doubt since its mainly city driving anyhow). Thanks for the help guys. I cant wait to hear this combo, I havent heard anyone else's using that combination.
yeah long as you get north or south of 2K by a few hundred RPM it goes away. Can't wait to hear it! Make sure to get a video up once you get it installed!
