i bought the car a year ago, it came with a misfire and it runs rich i figured it'd be as simple as a tune-up. i've replaced spark plugs/wires, coil pack, all 4 O2's, egr, fuel filtermaf seems to be working fine(observed with a scanner while my wife drove) and i also had to replace engine about 4months after purchasing due to destroyed thrust bearings(put a re-maned jasper engine in) so the upper and lower intakes were cleaned. the misfire existed before and after engine swap i've checked vacuum sprayed starting fluid all over the vacuum lines. i'm out of ideas and getting tired of throwing parts at starting to get to the expensive ones now. any ideas?

i was thinking the pcm might be bad. but didn't want to spend another $100 without knowing for sure.
You found a pcm for 100 bucks?! I had to replace mine just a bit ago. Cost me 500 for the pcm, and another 100 something for ford to reprogram the pats system.

When the pcm bites the bullet the car wont start at all, starter just keeps spinning the motor over.
