So I installed some rear lower control arms and now my car has developed a thumping sound whenever I shift, leave a stoplight or stop sign, and if I tap the gas you can hear it. It's definitely coming from the rear. Any suggestions?

What brand/type lower control arms?

1) did you possibly not tighten everything?
2) bushing type might be the issue... Rubber vs poly vs solid.
3) if there no longer is deflection in the LCA, something else might be showing slack that originally wasn't evident because of the original LCA deflection?

Idk. I'm pulling this OOMA.

BMR poly bushings. I tightened everything. I even checked for play in the control arm. Solid as a rock
Did you replace the upper? Also did you grease the bushings?

They're greased. No I didn't
Maybe the upper is loose or has a worn bushing. Could you have a bad shock that's been exposed by the stiffened LCA.
