Alright, I know this question has been thrown around a lot but I am ACTUALLY looking to either supercharge my car or Turbo my car. I look on eBay and there was 1 set up out of and old Tbird for 500 bucks I was wanting to know if it would be a good idea to buy a used Turbo or supercharger or start brand new. Cause I don't have a few grand to shovel out but if the 3.8l supercharger works and is a direct bolt on to my stock engine then I might just go ahead and grab that.

Im pretty sure you would have to go singal port which i would say is a step back. you'll also still need better fuel pump and bigger injectors ,water/air temp gauges , a boost gauge, a 25% u.d.p , some p.c.v breathers ,a tune, a ford 8.8 rear end and a hood to run an e. m90 sooooo thats gonna cost way more then 500. Your better option is the m112 u still need all the parts stated above plus an adapter for the lower intake but you could stay split port but its still gonna cost a decent amount in the end cuz boost is just expensive yo.

I've taken all that into consideration I was just wanting to know if that was a good idea or if I should just steer clear of the whole used idea. And I've looked into the m112.

Used parts aren't bad as long as you buy them from a reputable person/business and know what to look for as far as is this in good working order, does it need a little work or is it ready for the trash. It's always best to put some work into used parts before you throw them on your car ( i.e used m90 + snout rebuild kit + some light cleaning= way better used m90). As far it being reliable i dont see why not im sure there are super coupes with well over 150k on em running fine you just have to nail a solid tune, have a forged bottom end, transcooler and oil cooler . If you don't want to run the m112 cuz of the intercooler issue just go single turbo it'll be cheaper, you can intercool it as far as funds go tho its gonna be pretty steep no matter how you choose to go you said you didn't wanna throw a couple grand at it but thats exactly what you have to do.

If you don't have a few grand to throw around , keep it reliable and enjoy it.

And if you sell it buy a 4v... Gt's are slow for v8 cars!
