Sanding down the nylon plug and painting it with duplicolor perfect match (color of your car) and perfect match clear will blend the best. I did that, I gave the best results for doing plugs. However I just had the holes filled and painted when I had the whole car painted and I am much happier now.

With plugs I am one of those people that doesnt care if nobody else can tell, I knew they were there and it drove me nuts.

you might can find a spray can to match your oem paint, that will give a smoother paint over the plug surface, just make sure its flexible paint since it will be on plastic parts.
