If you have directional tires all you can do is front to back swap.

if your tires are directional it will say so on the sides

you can as long as the tread is unidirectional you can move them where ever you want.

I rotate front to back adn back to front since mine are directional every 3k miles and align it every 6 or 9k depending on how they are looking, just keep an eye on em when you rotate em.
