I recently purchased my 2008 Mustang Bullitt with a 4.6L Roush Supercharged engine and, of course, a 5-speed transmission. I am finding it hard to find articles on this Mustang with the Roush. I believe the stock engine produces 315 horsepower and with the Roush, another 110 horsepower. I've had fast cars in my days, but this Mustang is an animal. So I am asking if anyone here has any knowledge of this combination? When I do a google search, there is only mention of the 5.0L with a Supercharger. When purchased, in December 2022, the odometer read 92,250 miles. This car is in perfect condition, and I paid the price.

The Bullitt originally came with only a N/A 4.6 making 315hp & 325lbft. Evidently a previous owner added the Roush supercharger. If it's the M90 unit taken directly from the 427R, it'll be developing 435hp & 400lbft.

Thank you so much for giving me some facts. It seems for that year, only the 5.4L engine was factory Supercharged. I am totally not complaining as this car is way faster than I need it to be...And I like it! I just wish I had more data. I feel when it's time to change the belt, I will have difficulty finding the right fit.

Depending on which pulley you have on it; yes, it can be difficult to find a belt. Roush discontinued the production of one of the belts they used on the 3V M90 cars. One solution is to get a idler pulley and belt kit from blow by racing.

A picture of your engine bay would be helpful. The air intake of the M90 starts on the front driver's side and takes a long course across the engine bay to feed the supercharger from the rear passenger side, which isn't very efficient. If your supercharger is fed from the driver's side, you may actually have the much better Roush R2300 which, in stage 1 form, was rated at 475hp & 435lbft. Stage 2 took it up to a whopping 550hp & 500lbft, which tests the limit of the stock connecting rods.

Thank you for this useful information. 435 HP is more than enough power for me. I do not plan on racing but want the thrill of speed I miss from my younger years. My Bullitt looks like a sleeper and I would love for a Camaro or Charger to challenge me in a short race where I would hopefully blow their doors off. I think you get where I'm coming from.
