I'm wanting to go to a kenne bell setup and have for a long time. That being said, I also have quite a few miles on my engine. Is it safe to run forced induction with 160k miles? (8-9 psi intercooled) or would I need to rebuild the motor? Keep in mind I am still in high school so my budget is limited.

Just depends on what bottom end you go with and where it came from. I bought an entire forged rotating assembly minus the crank from mmr for 900 on sale. They always have sells check them out. And look around deals are always out there. Goodluck

I don't see a kit without the crank. The mmr 600 assembly is the cheapest I see, $1500 including the crank.

If you read the whole description at the bottom of the mmr 600 kit 2v only was $1500 with crank and said minus 500 without crank. You don't have a forged crank so why would you not want it

Buy nitrous kit then and save up its costly man I've been making build sheets for my cobra for 3 years and I finally just dropped 6k for everything I need for my build. Fuel supply, vortech v3, and the rotating assembly. And I bought all mine used other than the bottom end. Nitrous would be the best route cuz your not constantly abusing the engine and when you are its only for a few seconds.

Eh not a huge fan of the nitrous route personally, I'd rather save up and do it right the first time. Go ahead and build the engine so it'll be reliable for when I get the money for the KB
