The OP was CORRECT to think he would have canned tune options, yet you scold him for not doing his homework? Get bent loser.
No he wasn't and stop telling him otherwise. Everyone else in this thread said he should have gone with a custom tune as well. Why not attack them as well?

And enough with the childish name calling.

Yes, he was correct. The SCT has tuning capability without a custom tune and provides performance gains. I have used it. You have not. You seem to have issues with being wrong. Also, I treat others how they treat me, you fired your reading comprehension line because you were butt hurt that you were wrong. Next time try simply admitting you were wrong.

Lastly, with his setup he should definitely try the SCT tune before spending money on a custom. My 14 was a totally different car with it and would chirp from 1st to 2nd and pull much harder. It firms up the shifts very nicely and I never had any codes or issues.

Wrong? Not in the least. I've gotten constant PM's here over the years looking for advice from me based on my reputation. I've also tuned a few cars from members here. I guess I must know a thing or two about what's involved in the tuning of these cars vs your wonderful canned tune. But hey you keep preaching those canned tunes and how wonderful they are. Dumbass.

You seem very insecure for all you self proclaimed accomplishments. Hmmmmmm. 🤔

Can I ask you guys a favor? Would you two please have your argument using PMs? Please don’t high jack this thread any longer. You guys are making this personal and the name calling is beneath both of you. Things are divided enough now a days. Can you guys agree to disagree and please move on?

Thank you :thumb:

apart from the anger of the guys and, returning to the thread, I have the SCT-X4. As I live in Europe, many do not send me the SCT so I bought it from a CJ pony (it is the only one that sends me a Europe at "reasonable prices"). the objective is to remove the speed limitation (here you are charged almost the same as the SCT is worth and I don't have this engine) and the possible errors that may arise ... but I also consider a tune, in my case I imagine that canned, of MPT .....
the modifications are a cold air aid air intake, but with the same box of origin but with an AFE magnun flow pro drive filter, rear roush leaks and the transmission transmission by a one-piece 3.5 '' dynotech bar and
I have a doubt with the suspension, I do not know if I go for the kony sport (I have never had them) or the blistein b6 (I have them in the BMW and its performance is incredible) front and rear. ALL those are my modifications

MY SCT X4 is easier to use than my TV remote and couple this with MPT tunes and you will have the best for the money you can buy for a 13 mustang V6.

I couldn’t agree with you more, they’re a killer combination. Been running my MPT tune since early 2015 with absolutely no issues. I added a PedalMax last year which kills the throttle lag and is a ton-o-fun :thumb:

You can get a custom tune right now at MPT, here’s the link:

https://www.morepowertuning.com/mustang-37-v6-tune

They’re having a sale and the $200 tune is $99. This is a super deal with full instructions on how to load the tune with full customer support. MPT is well known and respected on this forum and their tunes are great. I’ve been running my MPT tune for 4 years without problems and very happy. Check it out, I hope this helps.
I just wanted to add that MPT now has a black friday sale and a Cyclone tune is now $75. It was too good a deal for me to pass up. I have had a BAMA tune for 5 years and want to see what all the fuss is about with MPT.

thank you very much for the warning @iguanaman3. I think I'm going to buy the package of 3 tunes . just a doubt ... can they damage the engine if you always go with them?

I've had my 2011 since May 2010. My first tune was from Jon Lund through Evolution Performance in August 2010. I also have MPT tunes. I have always been running a tune without any problems :). I only have 32,000 miles on my 11 :(

You are exactly right u don't need a tune for cat back exhaust system or cold air intake I have both on my v-6 2014FORD mustang I don't know what you thought you would get
The SCT should only be used as a device to transfer a custom tune and thinking you would get more out of it was a mistake. This is where one needs to ask questions first, not after the fact.

A catback requires no changes made in a tune and your hot air intake may also not require any changes made.
