How do you remove the front and rear seats out of your car? My new seats are in, and I can't figure out how to remove them? Or is there a how-to somewhere?
the backs are easy, there are 2 white buttons under the bottom, that gets your back out. then u undo the screws and bolts on the back then thats your back seat. fronts???? dont know, :-? BTW what kind of seats did ya get? :-?
well like I saw the white buttons, and I tried pushing on them and pulling up and nothing happend, then I tryied taking them out, and they broke, and I saw the like springs sitting there...well lets say they were sitting in there...but they still won't come out
here is mine back seat. there are 2 white buttons, middle of the seat under it. push in on them. and when you push in pull up a little bit. , then when you get both undone u need to slide your seat belts out fomr the middle. then pull up towreds the front of the car and the bottom will come out. (EDIT.)
To pull the front set of seats out, move the seat all the way BACKWARD... This will give access to two nuts that hold the front of the seats in. Use a ratchet and take these off. Move the seats forward. Use a ratchet to remove the two bolts that hold the back of the seat in. Tilt the back of the seat all the way forward as it makes it easier to lift out. Lift it out. You're done
If you have power seats you need to disconnect one wiring harness that is coming out of the carpet.
Removing the front seats takes like 5 minutes for both.
I just installed my new seats last week. The new seats were a ***** to install. A really mean *****. With PMS.
OK....as it seems very hard, (or I just can't figure it out...) to start a new thread, I'll just ask a question here. Driver seat (2005 Mustang convert) is stuck all the way back. I don't have access to the rear bolts to remove the seat, as it is covered by the seat mechanism. Is there a way to move the seat up manually?
